Jon Sorrel, MD, is a dedicated and skilled otorhinolaryngologist at SLENT, where he delivers outstanding care to patients in Mandeville, Slidell, and Covington, Louisiana.

A native of South Louisiana, Dr. Sorrel graduated as valedictorian of his high school class. He then attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, where he earned his degree in Biological Sciences with summa cum laude honors. He continued his education at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, where he received his medical degree.

It was during medical school that Dr. Sorrel met his wife, Emily, a neonatal ICU nurse and fellow LSUHSC graduate. Dr. Sorrel went on to complete a five-year residency in Otorhinolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he presented research nationally, published in respected journals, and received multiple awards for his contributions.

A devoted family man and proud father of three, Dr. Sorrel enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors. His greatest passion, however, is his work as a physician. Thrilled to be back in his home state, Dr. Sorrel is honored to serve the communities of Mandeville, Slidell, and Covington, bringing compassionate, expert care to his patients.
