While at the University of Rochester, he also began his research career in ophthalmology, accumulating six published abstracts and three poster presentations at national meetings by graduation.
He earned his Medical Doctorate from the University of Kentucky School of Medicine in 2000. Dr. Reddy completed both a medicine internship at the Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation and his residency in Ophthalmology at the LSU Eye Center, where he presented research at national meetings every year.

In 2007 and 2008, Dr. Reddy performed over 50% of all DSEK procedures in central Kentucky. He has authored journal articles, a book chapter, and is routinely an invited instructor at national ophthalmology meetings.
